What are IP blacklists (DNSBLs)?
DNSBLs (DNS-Based Blackhole Lists) are databases that record IP addresses with a history of spam, malware or malicious activity. They are primarily used by mail servers to filter incoming connections in real time.
Why might my IP be blacklisted?
Common reasons include: spam sent from your network, malware on a device in your network, a shared IP (shared hosting) that was misused by someone else, or a dynamic IP previously assigned to a spammer.
What does it mean if my IP is listed?
Your emails may be rejected or land in spam folders. Some services may block your connection. If you are listed, you can usually request removal (delisting) directly from the list provider.
How does the check work?
For each DNSBL, we reverse the IP (e.g. 1.2.3.4 becomes 4.3.2.1) and send a DNS query to that list's zone. If an A record is returned, the IP is listed. All 60 checks run in parallel directly from your browser - no data passes through our servers.
