DNS Leak Test
Check if your DNS resolver is revealing your identity, even when using a VPN.
What is a DNS Leak?
A DNS leak occurs when your DNS queries (the domains you visit) escape outside your VPN tunnel and reach your ISP or other third parties. Even though you're using a VPN, someone may be able to monitor which websites you visit.
How to fix a DNS leak?
- • Use a VPN with built-in DNS leak protection
- • Configure DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) in your browser
- • Use trusted DNS servers (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, Quad9 9.9.9.9)
- • Check the DNS settings of your operating system
